Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Apptad Inc. and its affiliates (“Apptad”, “we”, “us”) use cookies and similar tracking technologies on apptad.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are used to make sites work, remember your preferences, and provide reporting information to site owners. Similar technologies include local storage, pixel tags, and SDKs — for simplicity we refer to all of these as “cookies” in this Policy.

2. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into four standard categories. The Strictly Necessary category is always active because the Site cannot function without it; the other three only operate after you grant consent in our cookie banner or preference center.

Strictly Necessary

Required for the Site to function. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, page navigation, and remembering your cookie preferences. You can't opt out of these without breaking parts of the Site.

Performance & Analytics

Help us understand how visitors interact with the Site so we can improve it — for example, which pages are popular, how visitors move through content, and where errors occur. We use aggregated, pseudonymous data and do not use these cookies to identify you personally. Set only with your consent.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics alongside the consent-gated tools above. It is a privacy-first product that runs without setting any cookies, without using local storage, and without collecting personal information or building cross-site profiles. Because it doesn't use cookies, it operates outside of this Cookie Policy and is not gated by the consent banner. We disclose it here for transparency.

Functional

Remember choices you make (for example, which Insights category you last viewed) so you have a better experience across visits. Set only with your consent. No functional cookies are currently set on the Site; the category exists so future preference-style cookies can be honoured without prompting you again.

Targeting & Advertising

Used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites, based on identifying your browser and device. We do not currently set any targeting or advertising cookies on this Site, and there are no third-party ad pixels installed. The category exists so any future ad pixels would inherit your existing consent choice.

3. Managing your preferences

On your first visit we show a cookie banner with three options: Reject All, Cookie Settings, and Accept All. The Cookie Settings button opens a Privacy Preference Center where you can toggle each category individually and view the specific cookies that fall under each one. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the Cookie preferences link in our footer — this opens the same Preference Center, pre-filled with your last selection.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking Strictly Necessary cookies will break parts of the Site (for example, the cookie banner will reappear on every page load).

4. Cookies set on this Site

The tables below list every cookie that may be set when you use the Site, grouped by category. We update this list as our tooling changes, so the version below always matches what our cookie preference center actually offers.

5. Third parties involved

When you grant consent, the Performance & Analytics category loads scripts from the following third parties. They process visit data on our behalf under their own privacy policies; we do not sell or share your information with them for advertising.

• Google LLC — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. Used for site measurement, behavior analytics, and conversion attribution. Google Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Clarity. Loaded via Google Tag Manager once you grant analytics consent. Used for aggregate heatmaps and session-replay snapshots that help us improve site usability. PII inside form inputs is masked by default at the platform level. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

In addition, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics on every page regardless of consent state. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and does not use local storage, device fingerprinting, or any other persistent identifiers. It collects aggregate, anonymous metrics (page views, country-level geography, referrer, browser/OS family) that cannot be tied to an individual visitor. Pages may also embed third-party content (for example, LinkedIn share buttons or YouTube videos) that set their own cookies governed by those third parties' policies. Such embeds only load after you interact with them or after you grant consent.

6. Google Consent Mode v2

We implement Google's Consent Mode v2. This means Google's tags load on the Site in a default-denied state and only collect data after you grant consent for the relevant category. Concretely, your toggles in the Preference Center map to Google's consent flags as follows:

• Performance & Analytics → analytics_storage.
• Functional → functionality_storage and personalization_storage.
• Targeting & Advertising → ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.
• Strictly Necessary → security_storage (always granted).

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We currently do not respond to browser-based “Do Not Track” signals because there is no industry standard. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information.

How that works in practice on this Site:

• We read the signal before any tag loads, so no analytics or advertising cookie is set in the meantime.
• Performance and Targeting & Advertising are switched off automatically. Strictly Necessary cookies remain active because the Site cannot function without them, and Functional cookies stay under your control — neither category involves a sale or sharing of personal information.
• The signal takes precedence over a consent choice you made on an earlier visit, so enabling GPC later withdraws that earlier consent.
• We show you a visible confirmation that the signal was honored, and the preference center displays its status whenever it is active.
• You can override it from the preference center on that browser if you want to; we record that as an explicit choice and you can reverse it at any time.

8. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will also be communicated through the cookie banner so you can review the new categories before they take effect.
