This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents whose personal information we collect (“you”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the “CCPA”).
1. Categories of personal information we collect
In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following CCPA-defined categories of personal information:
- Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, IP address, online identifiers.
- Customer records — employer, job title, business contact details.
- Internet or network activity — browsing history, interaction with our Site, referring URLs.
- Geolocation — approximate location derived from IP address.
- Professional information — for prospects, customers, and job applicants.
- Inferences — drawn from the above, e.g., topics of professional interest.
We do not knowingly collect “sensitive personal information” in the meaning of the CCPA through this Site. If we do collect any sensitive personal information in a future engagement, it will be used only for permitted purposes and you will have the right to limit its use.
2. Purposes of collection
We use the categories above for the business and commercial purposes set out in our Privacy Policy.
3. Sources of personal information
- Directly from you (e.g., contact forms, newsletter sign-up).
- Automatically through your interaction with the Site (cookies, server logs).
- From third parties such as marketing-automation tools, analytics providers, and public sources.
4. Sale or sharing of personal information
Apptad does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may share personal information with service providers that act on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. To the extent that any such sharing constitutes “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA, you have the right to opt out at any time.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we detect it before any analytics or advertising tag loads, switch off the performance and targeting cookie categories for that browser, and show you a visible confirmation that the signal was received. No further action is required from you. You can still turn a category back on from the Cookie Policy preference center if you choose to, and that choice overrides the signal on that browser only until you change it back.
We also publish our support for the standard at /.well-known/gpc.json so browsers and automated tools can verify it.
5. Your rights
If you are a California resident you have the following rights:
- Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we have collected, subject to exceptions.
- Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — at any time, including via GPC.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — where applicable.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service for exercising these rights.
How to exercise your rights
To submit a verifiable consumer request, you may:
- Email privacy@apptadinc.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request”.
- Submit our web form and select the privacy-request option.
We will need information to verify your identity before responding. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will require written proof of authorization and may also need to verify your identity directly.
We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request, with one 45-day extension available where reasonably necessary (we will inform you if an extension is required).
6. Retention
We retain each category of personal information for the period described in our Privacy Policy, or longer where required by law.
